What’s wrong with HEPA filtration alone?

Coronavirus are spherical particles with diameters of approximately 0.125 microns. The smallest particles are 0.06 microns, and the largest are 0.14 microns. Tested in OR’s, ER’s, Waiting Rooms, Patient Rooms, Physical Therapy Rooms, Recovery Rooms, EVS Service Laundry Rooms, case studies conducted at 2 major Medical Centers, resulting in 50% – 70% non-viable particulate reductions in the 0.3 to 10. micron particulate range.

A Florida hospital compounding pharmacy used SAM400 to pass requirements for USP797 – CAG-009 in September 2018. Chemotherapy and ante rooms in the hospital were out of compliance prior to the introduction of SAM’s UVC air disinfection system.

HOSPITAL PARTICULATE FIELD STUDY

A case study conducted at a Major NY Medical Center proves reductions in the .03 to 10.0 micron particulate range when a SAM400 was in a typical patient room. Tests including HVAC, Central Air Handler Units, with 95% filtration attachments, and base line coil tests were performed. Particulate reductions consistent despite HAVC inconsistency.

EPA GUIDELINE FULL ROOM SIZE AEROSOL CHAMBER TESTING

Microchem Laboratory aerosol testing chamber determines the effect of antimicrobial agents on microorganisms present in the air, as bioaerosols.The NPAC , Negative Pressure Aerosol Chamber, measures 10′ x 10′ x 8′ (800 cubic ft.), which is the standard room size according to the EPA. Testing conducted in the NPAC simulates real world conditions of whole room disinfection devices against aerosolized bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
